Privacy Policy

Your inventory stays private

Products, photos, barcodes, quantities, prices, locations and stock history stay on your iPhone and may be included in iOS backups. Camera and photo access are used only for actions you choose. CSV files leave the device only when you save or share them. Kantro has no accounts or ads.

Optional usage data

With your permission, we share basic app interactions, error events, app and device information, language and a random identifier with our analytics service to improve Kantro. We do not include inventory contents, advertising identifiers, precise location or screen recordings. App-event IP storage and location enrichment are disabled. You can decline or turn off usage sharing in Settings at any time; this stops future usage events.

Subscriptions and service providers

Apple handles payments; we do not receive your card details. Our subscription provider processes transactions and a random identifier to manage Pro. Subscription status, plan, trial, purchase, renewal, cancellation and store territory information is also shared with our analytics provider to measure subscription performance, separately from optional usage sharing. Providers: RevenueCat (revenuecat.com/privacy) and PostHog (posthog.com/privacy).

Crash diagnostics

If usage sharing is enabled, PostHog collects crash reports with technical stack traces on the next launch. Exception messages are removed. Turning sharing off stops future diagnostic uploads.

Apple Ads measurement

Apple AdServices and RevenueCat measure installations and subscriptions from Apple Ads using an attribution token and a random customer identifier. This is separate from optional usage sharing. We do not request IDFA or show ads inside Kantro.

Storage and your choices

Analytics is processed in the United States. We retain analytics only as long as needed to improve the app and measure subscriptions, subject to our service retention settings. Subscription providers apply their own retention policies. Deleting inventory or uninstalling the app does not delete records already received. You can edit, export or delete your local inventory. For access or deletion requests, email melonryou@gmail.com and include the Analytics ID shown in Settings if available. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to correction, restriction, portability and complaints to a data protection authority.

About this policy

Kantro is not directed at children under 13. We use your permission for optional usage analytics and process subscription records to provide Pro and understand subscription performance. We update this policy when our practices change. Privacy questions: melonryou@gmail.com.
